Corsair ground school marks the beginning of Warbird U, Season Two

Another successful season of Warbird U began last weekend, 22-23 January, with the FD-1G Corsair. Paul Kissmann led yet another two-day technical ground school for approximately a dozen students eager to learn about the iconic carrier-based fighter aircraft of the Second World War.

The 2011 Warbird U is a repeat of the hugely successful format applied last season in which we operate the program as a joint venture with the Canadian Aviation and Space Museum.

Four more ground schools will be offered through to May including:

19/20 Feb 2011 – Curtiss P-40 Kittyhawk (Dave Hadfield)

26/27 Mar 2011 – North American Mustang Mk IV (John Aitken)

16/17 Apr 2011 – Canadair Sabre 5 (Dan Dempsey)

7/8 May 2011 – Supermarine Mk XV1 Spitfire (Rob Erdos)

An additional Corsair ground school will be offered to our western aviation enthusiasts again in Springbank, Alberta on the 9th of July led by Francis Belanger.
