GATINEAU – The skies over the National Capital Region will roar to life when the CF-18 National Demonstration Team arrives in Gatineau, QC on Wednesday, 11 May, 2011.

The CF-18 Demo Team will participate in the Heritage Formation Training Camp with Vintage Wings of Canada in preparation for the 2011 air show season. Residents in the Gatineau region will see and hear the aircraft as they conduct training twice daily Thursday through Saturday. In the event of inclement weather, training may extend until Sunday, May 15.

The Demo Hornet, which features brilliant tail art to illustrate the 2011 theme, Supporting Our Military Families, will be seen and heard flying over the Gatineau region twice daily –once in the morning and again mid- afternoon Wednesday to Saturday.

The Canadian Forces attempts to minimize any negative impact which may be created by our presence, taking into account the requirement to train in order to maintain the highest degree of proficiency and preparedness. Every effort will be made to limit the flying activities to normal daytime working hours to minimize disturbances to the public.
